Buy Winter King Green Hawthorn online. This small, tough native tree forms a rounded to pyramidal canopy that is as broad as the tree is tall. In mid-spring, small, fragrant white flowers adorn the tree. These flowers are followed by small red fruits that ripen to red in fall and persist into the winter to create a beautiful display. Fruits are edible, but are typically not considered for their culinary value unless used for making jam or jelly. Winter King Green Hawthorn is relatively thornless, but may produce occasional thorns. Fall color is an attractive purple and scarlet. Bark will exfoliate as the tree matures. Improved pest and disease resistance.
